Setting up today.......

It was a dull overcast day with a chill in the air.

We had walls to prep and painting to be done.
Floors to sweep and a layout for all the work in the planning stages.

For an exhibition that looks at 'Bloodlines' and all that relates to, ancestory, history etc. it seems appropriate that the gallery is set in the midst of a peaceful, and very old cemetery.

Walcot chapel gallery was once a mortuary chapel (1793) The burial ground was closed in 1875.
It was then used as a craft space for a walcot school in the 50's.

Now revived as an excellent gallery space.

and yet more holes to fill......

More to come!

Bloodlines - Identity & Belonging -
Part of the Fringe Arts Bath, Walcot Chapel, Walcot Gate Bath UK.
Fourteen artists, emerging and experienced, poets, painters, filmmakers and the rest, from the UK and abroad, look at who we are within the boundaries of blood.
Blood: a symbol of moral order pulsating within us all; a metaphor for what is both pure and tainted; a substance both holy and familiar.
Each artist will provide his/her own thought provoking response to this theme.
More info to come.....
